Inthakhin Tradition at Chedi Luang Temple, Chiang Mai

Inthakhin or Lak Muang Tradition (City Pillar Tradition) is held for respect and honor to City Pillar because Chiang Mai people believe that it will give you stability, happiness, and good fortune. For farmers as well, they will pray for rain for good growing of their plants. Everybody will offer flowers, candles and incenses to worship the Inthakin at Chedi Luang Temple. Dancing, musical performances, carnival games, and Thai vendor food is presented in the temple. This is a very large celebration in which the Chiang Mai citizen participate. The event will be available until May 29, 60.
